Skimcoating sheetrock -
Need advise. Removed old sanitas and it removed some of the sheetrock paper itself over quite a few areas. What does it mean to skimcoat? Is it applying paste thinly over the whole wall? Can it be applied with a roller? Thank you. Lucie
If by paste you mean the stuff you put on the joint tape, then you have the idea. But ask for either "joint compound" or "drywall mud" because the building materials associate will send you to the wallpaper department if you ask for paste. It's applied with a trowel. -- --jmowreader
