self closing door hinges

HELP!!! I'm trying to replace a spring loaded self closing door hinge. I can't pry it open enough to get a screw in it. The box said that it had a non-removable pin. Any suggestions?

Push flat screwdriver in hinge near barrle twist. grip one side with vise-grip.you should now have a V. Place two in. of hinge on rage on staire, step on barrle. Hold open with foot and remove vise-grip. Vise-grip a flat bar ie. half a hinge to open hinge, with hinge now open flat screw to jam and door. Drive screws as far as you can then remove vise-grip and bar. finsh driving screws. hope it works for you, Mike
