Riding Lawnmower Headlights...a Mystery to Me!
If we're talking about routers or circular saws, I'm right at home. However, I just purchased a used riding mower that works perfectly. Sometime in the past, someone removed the wiring to the headlights. The lights are there...each one has two pin connecters, and the on/off switch is there, too. Now, the $64,000 question...how do I rewire the beast? Hugh
If it's a siple wiring problm maybe I can help. First check if the switch is wired to the battery or generator. If there's no wire running fromt the switch then the easiest thing would be to run a wire straight to the battery. Then one to the headlights. There should be two places for a wire to attach to the switch. It's as easy as that. With it directly attached to the battery, you have to make sure and turn them off when you're done! LOL Nobody likes haing a dead battery! Good luck! Kyle
There should be wires running from the switch to the wiring harness that attaches to the battery, and also from the lights themselves to the same wiring harness. I would think simply by following this that you can get the same gauge wire and rewire the headlights. :-) Kathie If we're talking about routers or circular saws, I'm right at home.
