$175,000 buys a 6 bedroom 3 car garage, totally landscaped, brand spanking new, hardwood ceramic floor, greatroom, en suite bath, 4 bathroom, granite countertop kitchen, basement games rooms, several fireplaces type of house here.....matter of fact I would think we were stinking rich to live in a house that cost that much! LOL Just what do people in CO do that can afford to live in house like that???? The house you described would be about $45-55,000 here....tops! Incredible!!! Brenda

Makes you never want to live in Colorado, eh? We moved from Michigan last year, from a 4 bedroom house with a three car garage and a $300 a month house payment to this. The biggest reason was that I kept getting laid off.......no work, no paycheck, lots and lots of bills. So, we came out here. So far it has been worth it just for the fact that my oldest son was failing school when we left and now has all B's and a C- on his report card. He likes it sooooo much better out here. Housing here is sky high. It had started going up about 8-10 years ago I guess. Wages for some areas have not improved along with the cost of living here, but there are lots of jobs just the same. Finding an old farm house here to renovate is about impossible, we know....we have looked and looked and looked. Otherwise it is settle for a fixer upper for major $$$$ and work on it ourselves and build lots of equity that way. We will keep looking, but won't hold my breath. Lori Arvada, Colorado
This is true......we bought our present home after our deal on a much larger farm with a nasty bad house and bigger mortgage fell through....we were more than a bit disappointed but we (ok I!) fell for this house big time when we saw it and it has way more potential....... Brenda
