Very true, Cheryl. It really helped me with my allergies. That is why I took it upon myself to completely re-sand the hardwood floors in my 3 bd. ranch five years ago when I first moved in. It was quite an experience, being my first time sanding. But I learned quickly after the third attempt (luckily I have no family to inconvenience). Now everyone compliments me on my floors. My parents joke that I should go into the business (and not use my Ph.D.). Well, the floors were a pain in the arse, but my Ph.D. took longer and was even a greater pain--so it won out. He wasn't diagnosed with specific allergies, but with dogs and cats...... Anyway, carpet can be pretty nasty stuff and I doubt if we will ever have it again unless we get rid of all animals. love, Cheryl
