Cutting Hollow Interior Doors
Hi, I just replaced all of the doors on the second floor of my house with pre-hung hollow core masonite doors. I hung the doors before getting new carpeting, and now all of the doors are about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too long. What's the best way to deal with this problem? Planing? Cutting them down with a circular saw? Thanks for any advice!! js
I would use a table saw over a circular saw. If a table saw is not available be sure to make a back stop to run your saw against so you get a nice even cut. Sandra
Thanks for the advice. I actually picked up a plywood blade last night in anticipation of trying to use the circular saw. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow!
