Any interesting under-cabinet lighting?
We are building a kitchen and I'm at the point where I need to select under-cabinet lighting. I HATE flourescent and strip lighting, so I'm looking more towards the little round halogen lights. I'm wondering if anyone has found some cool under-cabinet lighting that they are happy with, or if I should just go ahead and get the round halogens... Thanks, Shane
I installed the halogen type lights in a customers house a few months back. I really liked them. They were a lot easier to install than florescents and put out a bright crisp light. Robert
I'd go with the halogens.....if I had to choose... You really have to be careful with lighting...it can change the color of your food.... My brother is a kitchen & bath designer and told me not to go with the florescent lighting....epecially since I work with food colorings.....with my cake decorating!! There are different kinds to choose from.... It all depends how much you want to spend...if you are planning on doing it yourself....etc.... I am presently using florescent, but am using special bulbs.... They do give me light, but I'll pick halogens when I redo the kitchen. Also...remember that you cannot put florescent lighting on a dimmer...
